Valence
Borgia, partner at Medici, participated, on the occasion of 25 November 2021,
International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and within the
framework of the 7th interprofessional meeting of the Parisian Observatory of
Violence against Women, to a web-conference dedicated to the theme:
"Sexism at the Roots of Violence against Women", this Tuesday, 23
November, the event taking place from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This day is
dedicated to deepen the notion of sexism, which is still very rooted in our
societies, and the link between these discriminatory beliefs and attitudes and
the violence committed against girls and women.
Valence
Borgia, in her capacity as a lawyer and co-founder of the Fondation des
Femmes, participated as a moderator during the round table n°2 on:
"What recourse against sexist and sexual violence?”

This event and the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women are the opportunity to recall Medici’s values and its actions led via the Endowment Fund for the promotion of equality between women and men, the fight against all forms of violence and discrimination against women and the fight against all forms of discrimination prohibited by law.
As a
reminder, the Medici for Equality Endowment Fund has launched the first edition
of the Medici for Equality 2021 Award, which aims at supporting projects
oriented towards the fight against discrimination. Applications can be
submitted until 28 November 2021.
