On 16 October 2026, Caroline Duclercq, partner at Medici, will take part in the Society of Construction Law ("SCL") Board panel on crisis management in construction contracts at the annual conference of the Society of Construction Law France.

The SCL France annual conference will take place on Friday 16 October 2026 at the Maison des Travaux Publics in Paris. This year’s conference is dedicated to crisis management in construction projects. It will bring together project owners, contractors, in-house legal teams, counsel and arbitrators.

Caroline Duclercq will speak on the SCL Board panel entitled “Practical Tips for Managing the Most Common Crises in Construction Contracts”. She will be joined by Joseph Otoo, Senior Legal Counsel at ARUP, Patricio Smart, Senior Legal Counsel at TotalEnergies, and Thomas Tiberghien, Project Director at Eiffage Génie Civil. The discussion will be moderated by Maude Lebois, co-president of SCL France, and David Coyne, construction delay expert.

The panel will bring together the perspectives of in-house counsel, a project director and an arbitrator on the most common crises arising in the performance of construction contracts. It will also address practical ways of managing them before they escalate into disputes.

Caroline Duclercq acts as counsel and arbitrator in commercial and investment arbitration, particularly in the energy, transport and infrastructure sectors.
