Caroline Duclercq, partner at Medici, will speak at the international conference held from 18 to 20 November 2026 by the Centre de Médiation et d'Arbitrage du Groupement des Entreprises du Cameroun (CMAG) to mark its 25th anniversary.
The conference will focus on "Arbitration, Dispute Boards, Mediation and Investment Governance in Africa: CMAG at the Heart of New Mechanisms for Preventing and Resolving Disputes in the OHADA Region".
As part of Session 5, dedicated to Dispute Boards and major project disputes, Caroline Duclercq will speak on Friday 20 November on the topic "Why Do Major African Projects Still So Often End in Disputes?", alongside Serge Zangue, Managing Partner of ZP, in a panel moderated by Vanessa de Happi, partner at Cabinet de Happi.
This contribution reflects Medici's strong commitment to the arbitration and mediation community across the African continent. The firm advises many African and international clients on the prevention and resolution of disputes arising from major projects, particularly in the construction and energy sectors.
The conference can be attended in person at the Krystal Palace in Douala or remotely via Zoom.
