The cement of our association lies in the shared will to practice law in harmony with our convictions and in the perpetuation of common values in all aspects of our firm's activity.
In practical terms:
We have created the Medici Equality Endowment Fund, the purpose of which, both in France and abroad, is to support, promote and carry out any action of general interest in the field of :
- The promotion of equality between women and men;
- The fight against all forms of violence and discrimination against women;
- The fight against all forms of discrimination prohibited by law.
In addition to endowments and donations, we donate 10% of the fees we receive from clients who express a wish to do so to the fund.
Led by a Board of Directors composed of personalities from various sectors, the endowment fund can notably use the following means to achieve its purpose:
- The selection of projects carried out by non-profit organizations, pursuing and supporting, particularly financially, goals that are compatible with the endowment fund;
Donations to eligible non-profit organizations that pursue goals that compatible with this endowment fund;
The acquisition or lease of real estate with a view to making it available to non-profit organizations that carry out actions that are compatible with the purpose of this endowment fund;
The creation of an website and communication activities;
Informing donors of the actions undertaken;
Any other means, duly validated by the Board of Directors, that would enable the fund to achieve its purpose.
MEDICI FOR EQUALITY 2021 AWARD - ENDOWMENT FUND CALL FOR PROJECTS
The Endowment Fund « Medici for Equality » is proud to present the first edition of the « Medici for Equality 2021 » Award, which aims to support projects oriented towards the fight against discrimination.
The endowment fund target is to support the associations’ initiatives towards the development of awareness raising, recognition, and/or concrete implementation of solutions for the promotion of equality and the fight against all types of discrimination.
24 projects were selected out of 250 projects, all of which were of great value.
We had the great pleasure to welcome in our new offices the 24 winners of the first call for projects of the Endowment Fund "Medici For Equality » : a privileged moment with these associations that are in a constant battle against all forms of discrimination, on a national and international scale.
We congratulate all the winners! We will be delighted to follow the development of their projects, divided into four categories:
-"Acting through law" category: Equal Legal Aid, La Cabane Juridique Legal Shelter, Paris d'Exil, Réseau pour agir en justice contre les discriminations, Droit Pluriel and Habitat Cité;
-"Professional sphere" category: Compter sur demain, YIN - Youth Inclusion Network, Terre 2 Cultures, Place Network and Alba;
-"International" category: Planète Enfants, Fondation Raoul Follereau, Elevages sans frontières and Association Afoulki France;
-"Youth/Education" category: Une autre image, Lire sous le baobab, S'Orienter Ensemble, Espoir 18, Association Go To Togo, SOS Casamance, TIMMY - Soutien aux Mineurs Exilés, Trouve Ta Voix and Les Enfants Cuisinent.
